Second Drive Installation Issue

I am trying to install revit to a second drive in my computer (E:\ drive).  This is because my boot drive (C:\) is a small capactiy SSD drive to improve my boot and other program speeds and it does not have the capacity required.  I tried to install onto my secondary HDD that has 350+ GB of free space and am recieving errors.  The download file was also to the drive and I changed the install path to my secondary drive.

Any idea why this isn't working out for me?

Post your installation log located in yoru %TEMP% file.  The reason can probably be determined fairly easily.  It's likely a prerequisite installation issue.

That's what I figured.

Install    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (x86)    Failed    Installation aborted, Result=1603

You will want to go into your Control Panel and remove any Visual C++ 2010 you have installed.  Then let the Autodesk  installer reinstall it.  That usually clears up this issue.

I am having this trouble as well. I removed the C++, but it continues to give the same error. It brings up a dialogue box that shows the available drives, and I select my E: drive, but it keeps giving the same error even though there is much more than enough space for the installation.

Oh, and I have manually given it a folder in the E: drive to install to.
