Rigging Crash Maya 2015

I have been looking around for days for a solution but there just doesn't seem to be one, or at least I haven't found one yet. My problem is that anytime I am attempting to rig anything, I can place a few joints, but it always crashes. I really want to resolve this issue so I can have a chance to do something with my plain boring static meshes. I am new to game design and having these constant blocks is getting very frustrating and even more discouraging. I watch videos on other people throwing animations together with relative ease but on my end it is a constant struggle, which always ends at my desktop. Can someone please help me? I have always wanted to design games, please don't let this be the wall that stands in my way.. 😞

I would recommend that you install the latest service pack 2 for Maya 2015:

And also make sure your video card driver is updated to the latest WHQL certified driver for you brand.  Here is a good list of what has been tested, but even if you do not have a card on this list, updating to the latest certified driver for your brand may help:

Good Luck!
