REVIT MEP 2012 Trial Version Families

I have installed REVIT MEP 2012 and would like to test drive the software in the trial mode.  I have the software open but there are no families in my imperial folder.  What good is a trial version if I cannot use the software?  I can't even draw duct or pipe.  Did I miss something on the install or am I required to buy the software to get the families?

Try this.

   1.       Go to the

-“Add and Remove Programs” list (XP).

-or the “Programs and Features” list (Vista and 7).

   2.       Double-click on the Autodesk Revit MEP 2012 item.

   3.       Click Add or Remove Features.

   4.       Under Select content, is the US Imperial check mark filled or not?

If not fill it and click Next to add it.

   If it is:

          A.      Click Back.

          B.      Click Repair or Reinstall.

          C.      Click Repair.

Let us know the results.

I now have some things in the US Imperial folder but I cannot find fittings for pipe or duct.  I searched in the all of the folders including the Detail Components.  Within Detail Components Division 23 is missing.

Let’s see if we can find anything in installer logs that remain in the temp folder. Gather up these files and compress them into a .zip or .rar file and post them to this thread.

     -Autodesk Revit MEP 2012 Setup.log

     -Autodesk Revit MEP 2012 Install.log

     -Revit MEP 2012 Language Pack - English.log

     -cp_Install.log

The temp folder can be browsed to by opening Windows Explorer. Type %temp% in the address bar then press Enter.

It may be the solution is a reinstall or it may require a reinstall after emptying this temp folder, then examining the logs after that.
