revit installation help

I am trying to install a trial (after I verfy the software works, I'll be purchasing) copy of Revit 2012 or 2014.  Both appear to be installed with files in the autodesk program location on my C drive. The 2012 version almost opens but then it says its being closed by Windows.  After several attempts I got a message saying Windows was running a program compatibility effort on it.  2014 effort gives the attached error screen.

My computer specs are attached.  My resolution, since this is a laptop does not meet the minimum standards.  Is this the problem?
