Six months ago we installed AutoCAD 2014 to 50 PCs using a temporary installation source on a mapped drive.
We have learned that this isn't a good idea and will use a permanent UNC source in future but that's where we are.
Now we are additionally installing Revit to a dozen of these machines. The Revit Deployment fails because FARO looks for the previous source and the deployment won't continue if it encounters errors even if these have no effect on the success of the installation.
I really don't want to use interactive installs and go past the error. We always use silent installs or deployments for corporate software.
I propose to overcome this by installing the latest version FARO.LS_5.2.0.35213 via group policy from a permanent UNC path for all users (most of whom have FARO.LS_5.1.0.30630) prior to attempting the Revit deployment again.
Wish me luck or comment!

you can also modify/correct the UNC path in the InstallSource Regkey at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{66D83FE0-D798-4B38-86FE-FB48151E5AEF}
The "{66D83FE0-D798-4B38-86FE-FB48151E5AEF}" UUID identfier depends on your Faro software version.
