Revit 2014 Student, 4 install failures on new Win 8.1 PC, errors 1603 & 1619

My research to this point has included the links I show below, but I just can't seem to get past the 1603 and 1619 errors when trying to install Revit 2014 Student. I am mystified as to how I could keep getting the "prerequisite" error related to the Visual C++ programs, as this is on a brand new Win 8.1 16gb Dell PC with only Dell's preloaded software on it to date.

I am trying to do this for my wife, for whom through her local coommunity college course we've activated the 3 year student license for Revit 2014, obtaining a serial number and product key.

Before my last 3 attempts, I have uninstalled various combinations of some or all of the visual C++ programs. I've attached a pic showing all of those currently on the PC as of after the 4th failed install attempt.

Also noting I have awareness of this Microsoft site, but not sure how I would act on it:

So the two attachments here are the log for my 4th failed install, and the pic mentioned above.

This is the error you are actually getting:

Install	Autodesk Material Library 2014 - Medium Image Library	Failed	Download Failed, Installation aborted, Result=1603

I would recommend that you try downloading your product using the virtual assistant by following the directions here:

Mr. Nave....thank you very much! Using the virtual assistant and it's download worked for me.
I will also note for other readers that after using Revit 2014 for a bit, it crashed when my wife tried to load work she had saved on a USB drive...but we said yes when prompted to send a report on the crash to Autodesk, which kicked back a recommendation to us to download a maintenance package we apparently did not have, I think it was called upgrade package 3. We have installed it, and all seems good now.
Thanks again!
