Revit 2011, installing just the content to the appropriate folders

Recently Autodesk Product Support was asked:

“We point all workstations to a server that has all Revit content libraries. Accordingly all our network deployment scripts have "Skip Content Download" checked.

How do I now install just the content to the appropriate network folders?”

This is a common question that we would like to get a solution out to a larger audience of users. To resolve this issue you please refer to TS15041978

This is a lousy "solution" as it involves much finding of text, cutting/pasting components - finding folders etc.We do lot of intenational work so it has to be done for several markets and in feet-inch as wel as metric system.

Why can't the network deployment creation script be designed such that if "Skip Content Downlod" is checked, it creates the adminimage, downlads all content selected (we specified which foldes on the network share), then when the install script is runfor each PC it simply skips the download and points the PC to he network share foders for content.

Hi Mike,

Creating such a script would be a product enhancement, which you can submit at the link below.

Your comments will go directly to the Product Management team, so when submitting the enhancement request form, please provide detailed description of your problem and what would be your desired solution.
