Reinstallation Help

Previously on my home computer I installed Autodesk Inventor Professional 2015, so that I could get more work done on a project for an engineering class than what I could do in class alone. Later, I realized that the class uses the 2014 version, and the file system was incompatible between the two. I uninstalled 2015 and tried installing 2014, but it didn't install correctly. It said it installed, but I tried to find it and there was nothing there. I tried removing all files from my computer using instructions from the support section, and restarting my computer, and then reinstalling it... it didn't show up. I tried multiple times, still no luck. When I went back into the installer again after a few tries I noticed that even though I had removed all files from my computer relating to Autodesk, the installer was only installing the content libraries and nothing else because it seemed to still think everythign else was still installed. Does anybody know how to fix this and how I can install the 2014 version correctly? I would appreciate help.

To Diagnose and Fix installation problems automatically, please see the new Microsoft tool for this here:

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

For more information on the Autodesk KB Support article concerning the clean uninstall of Autodesk products, see this link:

For all other installation problems carefully consider using the Microsoft Installer Clean Up Utility at your own risk. For more information on this program, please thoroughly read my forum post here:

@TravisNave Thanks 🙂 That let it install fine, although now it's giving me the following error when I try to launch:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."

What do I do now to fix it? Does it simply require a computer restart, or is the solution something else? (This may have already been answered, if so a link to the solution would be appreciated.)

See my signature line for that error. It's generally Adobe Acrobat or an
nVidia driver.
