Regens Hang...

We have Acad2000 running as floating licenses off a network server (acad is
loaded local, gets license from server). We have some custom files located
on network on a shared drive (lisp etc) which is in the users search path in
ACAD (P:\acad2000\support) which is ahead of the local c:\acad2000\support
in serach path.

We seem to experience random cases where when you do a regen, it seems to
hang.

Sometimes doing one or more "esc" will free it, sometimes you have to kill
Autocad.

Is this a common occurence in ACAD2000??

Just a follow up, when you type "regen" or "regenall" the processor usage
goes to 100%. If you hit and "esc" it will terminate the regen and
processor usage goes back down. However, the drawing did not regen and
often you have a blank screen. Closing the drawing and reopeneing is only
choice.

I think we have it solved! The files hanging are old r12 drawings. I
found that new files aren't doing this. I found in the knowledge base an
article that if the defpoints layer is froze it can cause this random
hanging.

Sure enough, the r12 drawings have defpoints froze. Thaw it, regens work
great, no more pausing!!!

We added a thaw command to our acaddoc.lsp file.
