Sorry, I had posts of the same name confused. I had never seen or replied
to your message, but I will now.
This will not work. You have to decide between redundant and distributed
models. This is because FLEXlm will behave differently depending on how you
point to multiple servers. If you use LICPATH.LIC, the first denial of a
license will end the search for a license server. This is why it is used in
redundant server model. When you set the multi server list in the
LM_LICENSE_FILE variable each request will be allowed to time out and then
try the next server, this delay can cause problems in redundant models.
I strongly encourage you to go the distributed route. The distributed model
is easier to maintain and offers fault tolerance of some network problems.
Redundant server operation relies on flawless communication among all the
servers.
