"The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again. (1)"

Hi!

I get the following message when trying to activate my AutoCAD for Mac: "The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again. (1)". The serial number IS correct, but it just doesn't work. What can I do?

What version of AutoCAD for MAC did you install?
Are you positive that matches the version for the serial number you have?
Are you typing, or copy/paste? typing is best.

Read this and make sure nothing else is going on

AutoCAD for Mac 2016, i tried both typing and copy-pasting. And the link does not help me, I have seen the page but there was nothing helpful there.

If I remember correctly, one user mentioned this before, and he is from Spain.

Could you please try using some other language input source, for example, using English > U.S. And try reboot the machine, and try again.

If it still does not work, please send me the serial number and product key that you are using by email. I need to check whether it is valid.

My email:

wei.ma@autodesk.com

Thanks,
Wei

Hello @Anonymous,

Sorry to hear your serial number is giving you this error. Please try the following steps to see if the issue can be resolved.

- Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Keyboard, then click Input Sources > Click Add, search for a language or input source, then select one or more input sources > Click Add.

- Type the Serial Number (do not copy/paste it)

- Make sure you are using the appreciate product serial number & product key  you should receive green check marks
