Product Key for previous version of AutoCAD MEP

I have AutoCAD MEP 2013 Standalone on my laptop.

I requested and recieved a link for AutoCAD MEP 2012 download.

I entered my serial # And Product Key when asked,

The product key was incorrect. How do I get the right key #

Typically, the keys remain the same for the products, just the lettering increments.  Since 2013 uses an E, try using the same key with a D instead for 2012.  Also, the product key will be the same as the product part number, if you have that information.
