Preintalled families are not showing up.

Hi everyone,

I downloaded Revit 2014 as a student using the download now method. I installed it without internet access. I then tried to follow a tutorial but I realized that there were only two types of walls. The type of wall that the tutorial showed did not appear. Is there a place I could download these? I also noticed that my folder that I installed Revit in was only ~1GB as opposed to the ~5GB that I downloaded. Any ideas? Or do I have to reinstall?

Hello and Welcome to the community.

The content is down loaded during the install process.  You need to have internet access during the install.  You can try the following steps:

Go to Control Panel> Programs> Uninstall a program.

Select Revit 2014 and click Uninstall / Change

A window will come up for Revit

Select Add or Remove Features

Under content pack - select the content you need

Then click Next

This should install the component library
