A package is a set of features that are grouped and licensed together.

The purpose of the PACKAGE line is to support two different needs:
• To license a product SUITE, or
• To provide a more efficient way of distributing a license file that has a
large number of features,
which largely share the same FEATURE line arguments.
A PACKAGE line, by itself, does not license anything—it requires a matching
feature definition line to
license the whole package. A PACKAGE line is shipped by your software
publisher with a product,
independent of any licenses. Later, when you purchase a license for that
package, one or more
corresponding feature definition lines enable the PACKAGE line.

OPTIONS=SUITE Optional field. Used to denote a package suite.
If set, the corresponding feature of the same name as the package is checked
out in
addition to the component feature being checked out.

Hi Jimmy,

Can older version of FlexLM (2006,2007,2008) work with this feature?
Or must we upgrade to version 11.4.100?

I'm not sure if the PACKAGE line is included in the previous license files
that comes with AutoCAD 2008 and older.
But PACKAGE has been included in FLEXnet itself even in the one that comes
with 2006.
If it is not included in the license file it is not something you just can
add. If it is there it is there. Autodesk needs to issue a license that
supports it.

We never receive for all our customers license file with PACKAGE line.
We just receive the first .lic file with this feature. Our customer reply us that it didn't work and must go back to the older Lic file.

It might be that the license file was created in a wrong way then by
Autodesk.

Jimmy,

We test the lic file by creating a test plateforme with FlexLM 2008 and we
have no problem.
We have contact our customer to ask him about which version of FlexLM it
has.
I give more information later.

If the license file is created for AutoCAD 2008 products the version of
FLEXnet must be the same as what is included on the 2008 media and that is
version 11.1.

We have redefine the Autodesk FlexLM service :

Now it starts correctly but we have always some
problems.

5 users have a licence but we see only 3 of
them??

For one user :
