Opened drawing for write on network

I am wondering if there's an alternative program to find out who has the
drawing opened for write on the network drive? I have dwglog.arx
but it makes a mess as it create the *.dwh files. I am not interest in the
log file keeping record of the drawing opened/closed. I am more interest
in knowing who has the drawing currently opened for write. Whether I
customized their AutoCAD workstation to load in the arx modules or not.
Should this not be an integral part of AutoCAD to identify the workstation
who has the drawing opened for write?

Devin, you can use the old WINFILE command at the DOS prompt and then select the offending file and use the
"Open By" button on the File Properties pulldown.

There is also an Autodesk utility called OpenBy.arx at the following address.

You will need ADMIN rights on the server to see the result in either case.
