I just installed revit 2013 student version because I will be taking a course next semester that requires a revit project.  The software I installed only opens in viewer mode ( no saving of project).  This will not work for course project.  Is there anything I can so that revit will save files?

You really need to post these sorts of questions on the student community website.

If you have a serial number and product key, enter those and run through the activation wizard.

Ensure you use start > all prgrams > Autodesk > Revit Architecture 2013 > Revit Architecture 2013 (not Revit Revit Viewer 2013)

Hello. If you are only using viewer mode, this is because your version is not registered. You need to register the installation, even if a student install. Please take a look at the student activation posts, or head over to the student community. You will be unable to save anything until you register.
