Hi there,
I would really appreciate a little step by step help with a network license installation of Maya2014 on my Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9.1 Mavericks.
I installed
Autodesk_Maya_2014_English_Japanese_SimplifiedChinese_MAC_OSX.dmg
successfully, then updated with
Autodesk_Maya_2014_SP3_English_Japanese_SimplifiedChinese_MAC_OSX.dmg
I set the server name as blah-blah.local
? Is this correct or should it be blah-blah.home?
I installed the Network License Manager server with ipv6 support
nlm11.11_SP1_ipv6_support_mac_universal.tar
? Does that need an install of the regular ipv4 Network License Manager to work?
macosx_licenseserver11.7.dmv
Now, I can't install the ipv4 version after the ipv6 one - as the installer says there is already a more recent version installed.
My first question is:
? Do I need the ipv6 version at all?
And my second is:
? How do I un-install all the bits of the ipv6 version so that I can get the regular ipv4 version to install properly?
My last questions are:
? Which folders do I put the the .lic license files into for a Mac OSX installation?
? How do I start the Network License Server?
and
? Will the NLM server start up automatically each time when the machine is restarted?
Many thanks in advance for all help,
Gavin
