Net framework 4 issue, already tried everything

Dear Support,

I have an issue with the installation of autodesk 3DS 2014. The screen goes directly into saying "Installation finish, but some components failed to install". And pretty much everything failed to install. 

As usual, I came on your forum to browse the solutions, because I knew some people may have had the same issue. I took a look at the solutions, and at my log, and figured out that it was a problem about the installation of the NEt framework 4. I then took your recommandations, installed and executed the clean up tool, removed many times the existing Net Framework 4 of my computer, reboot, and then relaunch the install application. But unfortunately, it did not work. It was late night, so I decided to use the "download" option rather than the "install" option, so at least a part of the documents could be saved on my computer. But I am still facing the same problems.

I have the feeling it has imporved since it was error 1603 before and not 1619. however the result is the same. I have spent 3 hours on that issue, so it is really starting to be bothering me. 

What would you suggest  ?

Hi Jbreyt and welcome to the forum,

Can you try running the .net framework patch that is failing dirctly. You can do this by navigating to the folder it exists in and double clicking it. It should be in the install folder under

3rdParty\NET\4\wcu\dotNetFramework\

The file name for the update that's failing is NDP40-KB2468871-v2-x64.exe

Let us know what error message you see when you try and run that patch.

The prerequisite is not already installed and installation still fails, then you may need to make an advanced edit to the setup.ini file to ignore the error. Please make sure you manually install the prerequisite file from Microsoft and then modify the setup.ini file accordingly.
