Multiple licenses

I have a llicenses for bith Building Suite and Product Suite.  I typically run these on two different computers but sometimes want to transfer the license of one product to the other machine (I have both suites loaded on both machines).  However, I would like to be able to run basic autocad on both machines at all times.  Unless I Iinstall two versions of autocad on both machines each with it's own license I loose the use of autocad whne I transfer the license.  Is there a way of telling one installation to use either legitimate license?

Hi wchorley,

If by statement below, you meant to use a 1  seat License on 2 machines at the same time note that 1 seat of License can be installed on 2 machines but should be used one at a time.

For multiple seats Licenses, it can be installed on multiple machines and you need different Activation Codes for that.

Do reply back with more details if I seem to have misunderstood your issue or you need further clarification.

I don't think i expressed the problem very well - let me try again.
I have copies (Educational) of both the Product Development Suite and
Building Development Suite. I have these both loaded on my desktop machine
and my laptop. I occasionally transfer one or other of the licenses to the
other machine, to use one of the suite specific products such as Revit.
The issue comes with the common components - particularly Autocad which I
use a lot! When you've loaded it from one suite onto a machine, when you
come to load the second suite it says that Autocad is already loaded.
However, you can only use it with the licences that was used when it was
originally loaded. How can I get the one instance of Autocad to work with
either of my two licenses? The only workaround I've found is to load
Autocad form the building design suite and Autocad Electrical from the
Product suite. The installer seems to regard these as different enough to
load them but it means I have a load of disk space taken up by two
instances of autocad - not too bad on the desktop, but not so good on the
laptop!
So, "bottom line" , can I configure a single instance of Autocad (or any
other common product) to accept either legitimate license?
Thanks,
Will

no you can't

the product keys will be different which you can not change after installation
