Multiple 2010 64-bit Autodesk products crashing on startup

I purchased the 2010 Entertainment Creation suite, and several programs are crashing at startup. All of the 32 bit versions of the programs start properly, and SOME of the 64 bit versions are working.

(all 2010 software)

Working

3D Studio Max 32 bit

3D Studio Max 64 bit

MatchMover 32 bit

MatchMover 64 bit

Maya 32 bit

Motion Builder 32 bit

Mudbox 32 bit

Toxik 32 bit

DirectConnect 32 bit

DirectConnect 64 bit

Not Working

Maya 64 bit

Motion Builder 64 bit

Mudbox 64 bit

Softimage 64 bit

Toxik 64 bit

System

Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium SP2

Intel i7 920 @ 2.67GHz

9 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (driver 8.17.12.5896)

I glanced at a log for Maya 64 bit and it just has this over and over:

info: pid:5936 tid:5700 21:05:36.982000 MC3 is starting up...
info: pid:5936 tid:5700 21:10:21.433000 MC3 is shutting down...

I've searched for help on this subject, but I can't seem to track down the problem. I'm very frustrated at this point because I have a system capable of running 64-bit software, yet I'm stuck using the 32-bit versions. I have the latest Windows updates, I've tried a clean re-install, and I've tried different display drivers, but nothing has helped. Any ideas? What other info do you need from me to help diagnose these problems?

Have you submitted the Customer Error Report ? If so which email ID have you used?

If you can please attach the log file or the crash dump file for review

I don't get an option so submit a report to Autodesk, only to Microsoft. I don't get to an Autodesk splash page or loading page at all.

I get THE MAYA APPLICATION FILE HAS STOPPED WORKING - WINDOWS IS CHECKING FOR A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM before anything has a chance to appear on screen.

I searched my logs and the 64 bit Maya log is empty. All it says is:

Maya Message Log starting Sunday, August 08, 2010

However, there is a CER.INI file with this:

[2010 x64]
CrashCount=0
SessionStartCount=25
SessionCleanCloseCount=6

The Mudbox 64 bit log is attached, as it actually contains something.

Just to verify... I'm finding the individual logs in the program folders within My Documents. Is this correct?

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and I'm still having the same problem.

I was able to catch a log from Motion Builder 2010 64 bit and will attach it to this post. There is a txt file and an XML file that seems rather valuable, as it actually has some appcrash info:

APPCRASH

motionbuilder.exe

10.0.0.0

4a64c26a

StackHash_871b

6.1.7600.16385

4a5be02b

c0000374

00000000000c6cd2

I've been waiting a long time to find some way to fix these errors, and it would be nice to hear something other than BUY THE 2011 SUITE. I have updated all my drivers to match the new OS, btw.

I just uninstalled the entire 2010 suite and cleaned my registry of all Autodesk traces and attempted to install the 64 bit version of the Maya 2011 trial just for kicks.

Same problem.

Crashes before showing a Splash page.

Attaching error logs.

I found the problem, and it has nothing to do with Autodesk or Windows all.

I own a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet and the driver was causing a conflict across multiple 64 bit apps. I discovered this when installing Adobe CS5. The solution was to uninstall the Wacom tablet and drivers, and then install an older driver (6.1.3-5) that does not cause this conflict.

I can now run 64 bit applications and use my tablet without any issues.

I hope this information proves to be useful to others with a similar problem.
