Mudbox 2012 will not instal

Hello, i have been trying to instal Mudbox 2012 Win 32-bit. Durring installation the installer will close near half way into the first phase and the instal will fail. The installation log file says a file is in use or something like that. I have tried installing in diagnotics mode, but the same thing happened.

 

I have attached the installation log file.

edit* I could not get the .txt file to attach correctly. So I will just type in the last part of the log file.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

 

What os did you use ?

Have you try windowsupdate before installation ?

Try :

1- msiexec /unreg

2- msiexec /regserver

That fixed it. Thank you both for the reply. Now I just have to figure out how I messed up my Windows Installer so I don't do it again.

I cannot install Mudbox. I am trying to download the free trial to try it out, but I keep getting the same error message over and over over and over again...regardless of where I try to save it. The message is "try again in a new location"

 

WHERE am I supposed to try and save this? I have tried making a folder, tried saving it to an existing folder, tried saving it to desktop...WHERE do I save it?
