Moving ADLM

Does anyone have experience with moving ADLM to a different drive. We need
to do some server maintenance and it would allow my users to keep working if
I could temporarily move ADLM to a drive on a different network device.

Thanks - JRMjr

James,

I assume that by "a different network device" you mean another server.

The AdLM license files are bound to the network properties of system it was
authorized on. So, AdLM will need to be reauthorized if run on a different
server.

If running the TCP/IP version of AdLM on a Windows system, AdLM should not be
"moved". It should be uninstalled on the old system and installed to the new
one using the AutoCAD CD. For instructions on uninstalling AdLM on a Windows
system, see http://www.autodesk.com/support/techdocs/td15/td154111.htm.

If you are using the IPX AdLM on a Netware server, the AdLM files may be moved.

In either case, reauthorization would be necessary.
