Mixed release versions in networked licensing- how old is OK?

I have a customer who is currently running AutoCAD 2005 network licenses. They are interested in upgrading (well, purchasing new more than likely) and want to have the licenses co-exist.

Can new a subscription license co-exist with their old 2005 AutoCAD license using this method? I'm familiar with how this works on a general basis, but haven't tried it with two products so distant in release dates, and don't want to mislead the customer by getting surprised with an incompatibility.

Absolutely. From 2002 version, autodesk uses FLEXlm technology to manage the license. You can combine the license file into one and configure the license service, that should work.
