Installation of Revit trial fails at visual C++ stage
I have attached the log autodesk generated
Your product is failing to install because the prerequiste program required by the installer is failing prior to the installation of your Autodesk software.
Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 KB958314 (MFC) (x86) Failed Download Failed, Installation aborted, Result=1603
You might try to download Visual C++ 2008 x86 from Microsoft's download page first and get it installed. That might work. You could also try to download your Autodesk program again using the Virtual Assistant. Either way, if the prereq does get installed and the installation still fails, then you may need to make an advanced edit to the setup.ini file to ignore the error. Please make sure you manually install the prerequisite file from Microsoft and then modify the setup.ini file accordingly.

On a side-note, this is my 10,000 forum post. You don't win anything though.
Thanks!
