Maya 2015 student edition refuses to install, error 1603

I've been trying to install Maya 2015 student edition for hours and have seemingly tried every option. Here is the error message I'm receiving:

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the C++ 2008 redistributable, along with the 2010 redistributables, and I just can't get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Download Error Connection has expired. Please reconnect to site. 

 I would recommend that you try downloading your product using the virtual assistant by following the directions here:
