Maya 2015 LMU.exe crash/”stopped working”

Well, the title is kind of self-explanatory. Every time I open Maya 2015 to try and enter the key and get it working the LMU pops up and freezes and won’t let me use Maya 2015. Ive been looking into this for over a month now looking at everything and there doesn’t seem to be anything useful or working. I have unstalled and re-installed Maya 2015 7 times (last 4 times was the super cleaning method) and still the same problem. I am probably looking in the wrong places or something but I just can’t fool around on Google anymore every day, there must be some solution somewhere? The only thing I haven’t tried is unstalling Internet Explorer but the post I’m looking at is quite outdated, so I’m reluctant to go ahead with that. Any help or pointer in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jamie,

Can you try out the suggestion from this post below? Basically some of the users were able to get past this by disabling WMI.

Maya 2014 + Windows 7 [Clean] + Unexpected Error

3ds Max 2014 (and possibly earlier) - LMU.exe crash on startup - cause found

Thanks,

Yep done that. Still the same thing.

Just pops up with "Not Responding" and then forces me to close the program
as before. (I did restart the PC after disabling the WMI).

So yes, doesn't seem to be any more resources on the subject after that 😕

Also, thank you for the reply!
