Maya 2015 Educational version license was not obtained

Running Windows 7 64 bit.

Maya 2015 educational version stand alone.

I tried deleting the maya.env file as recommended in the forums, that did not solve the problem. The full error says:

License was not obtained.

License method: environment variable MAYA_LICENSE_METHOD='network'

Product choice:

environment variable MAYA_LICENSE='unlimited'

License file override

envrionment variable MAYA_ALT_EN si not set

Looks like you need to reinstall as stand-alone.
