Maya 2013 and Asus VG278 active stereo monitor?

Hi,

We just bought to test an Asus VG278H Monitor, which feature active stereo NVIDIA 3DVision2 glasses.

The IR emmiter for hte syncro is inside the monitor.

It works ok with the Nvidia video player and test, but I'm trying to get it to work inside Maya with the Active Stereo option.

I managed to get the Active option lighted, but when I do enable Active it doesn't trigger the VG278 Stereo Emitter.

Has anyone already tried something like this? The idea is to ease the work of your layouters because working in anaglyph just kills them 😉

Hello,

I have got this working with Maya 2013 and the Asus VG278 Active Stereo monitor. All I did was install the latest drivers, charge my glasses and switch off aero on windows 7.

I also enabled 3D using the NVIDIA Control Panel and set up Maya for 3D in the Manage 3D settings window.

I have the following settings:

OpenGL Rendering GPU: Quadro 4000
Power Management: Prefer Maximum performance
Stereo Display Mode: On-board DIN connector (with NVIDIA 3D Vision)
Stereo Enable : On
Threaded optimisation : Auto

With these settings Maya will launch into 3D mode when I create a stereo camera, I can view stereo in the viewport and move around in real time.
