Maya 2012 64-bit on Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit with Intel GMA 4500M HD graphic card

Hi there, I have tried to install student version of maya 2012 on my ubunut notebook, everything went ok, but Maya does not start, no single word in terminal window. Is the graphic card a problem? When I type "./maya2012 -v" I get correct respones. Any help? Thanks a lot. Dalibor

the case of nothing coming up is usually a case where the licensing was not installed as expected.
The Licensing dialog is supposed to come up but it doesn't.

review how you performed the licensing installation, as on Ubuntu this has to be done manually as the Maya installer is setup for Red Hat/Fedora type distos with rpm packages
