Hello,
Hello - I downloaded and installed the Maya 2011 student version from the site. I ran the trial version for the first 30 days but then it expired so I'm trying to activate the free 13 month license. However, whenever I try to activate the software and request an activation code I get the error message "your product could not be registered in the United States".
I live in the United States and all of my profile information is accurate, although I have noticed that for some reason the education site thinks my school is located in Australia. There are several colleges that share the same name as mine. However, since all of my profile information still saysthat I'm in the United States, shouldn't it still register? Basically, why am I getting this error, and how can I fix it? Thanks!
I also ran into a strange problem where under my student profile on the education community it won't allow me to switch my time zone away from India to the United States - no idea why this is.
Also, I don't see an option to change what school you attend, if that really is the source of the problem.
As a side note, I do have a student version of Maya 2010 installed on my computer, not sure if that matters or not.
Any help would be appreciated!
Please send an email with your student account information and the circumstances of your problem to the Education Community Problem Form. The team that monitors it will be able to assist you.
