Maya 2014
Mac OS X 10.9.1
Student license
I have tried installing Maya 2 times from the site and tried this (http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autodesk-maya-2014-servi... too and it still doesn't work. I have uninstalled 5 times now, deleted these files (http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2013/02/reset-standalone-licensing-on-the-mac.html), reinstalled and it still doesn't work. I have completely wiped my com from anything Autodesk, including the library, and downloaded a fresh copy and it still comes up with the same 110 error. I will try downloading any update and restart my com and then try installing it again, but I doubt it will work.
I really need to get some work done and I've spend all day (7 hours now) reading other posts about this and trying to fix it but nothing helps. Please help me.
Also, why can't I contact Autodesk directly?
Sincerely, Laura Grubbe
Installing Maya SP3 should resolve the 110 error on Mavricks so if that is what you are installing there may be another issue. Is your serial number perhaps for the Education Master Suite or the Design Academy os some other suite? Sometimes the error 110 can mean the product key that was entered is not valid for the Serial number. What product key was entered when you installed?
I entered the product key I got when I registrered for my educational version.
Sorry Laura I am not sure what might be occuring here. As long as you are using the correct product key for your serial and you are using the Maya 2014 SP3 installer (linked below) you shouldn't be getting that error.
Can you try installing the product in trial mode? Is it able to launch that way?
It works now, I have no idea why but I hope it'll stay that way. I figure it was the restarting that did something, that's the only thing I did differently than the other 8 times of uninstalling, wiping every file and reinstalling. And I used the SP3 the last 6 times or so. But thanks for your quick reply anyway, cheers!
