I have LT 2017 installed on my laptop.
I need to transfer this to a new laptop.
I have installed the free trial and got the following message
'Your trial has ended" so I click on the "all ready have a licence' and continue with the 'Enter a serial number' and follow the instructions.
I then get this
Why do I have to do this, is there a way around it as it will not let me register LT ??

Hi @Anonymous Welcome to Autodesk Community!
For security reason I have removed your screenshot as it contained your serial number. Please refrain from posting your serial number in the public.
Are you the administrator for your AutoCAD LT? Please try the solution in this article: Error: Contact your administrator to request permission to use this product. Hope this helps.
Hello @Anonymous,
Welcome. I understand you would like to transfer your license to a new laptop.
License transfer from one computer to another is not required to activate your software on a new computer. Your subscription to Autodesk software includes rights to install and activate your software on more than one computer. For each computer you wish to use, follow the standard installation and activation procedures for your software.
On the New Computer I would conduct the following steps:
- Close any running Autodesk programs.
- Uninstall the Trial Version
- Remove all files under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ADUT.
- Remove all files under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ADUT.
- Go to C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet and delete all files that start with adskflex.
- Download & Install using the Autodesk Virtual Agent
- Activate the product
Please let me know if this helped you resolve the issue.
