License Transfer utility question

We have two copies of autocad lt at work, 2007 and 2009. The 2009 version was not being used by any computer so my boss asked me to install it at home so I could work both in the office an at home. We now have the need to use both versions in the office, I tried the portable license utility and I do not know where the file that was generated is. Can someone help?

Also, since we have this other person doing part of the work I do not need this version at home anymore. If I uninstall from my computer at home will I be able to activate it on the new computer?

Thanks for your help,

Monica

The LTU is known to be problematic. If your serial is not expired and you cannot activate automatically, you can call Autodesk Activations for a manual activation.

Please call Autodesk Product Registration and Authorization:

Europe / Middle East / Asia: 41.32.723.9595

You will need to provide your serial number and the request code.

Hi Monica and welcome to the Discussion Forums!

Just as a heads up, the License Transfer Utility is only compatible with product versions 2010 and newer.

For 2009 products and older, you should utilize the Portable License Utility.

If that does not work for you, you could also uninstall the program from the previous computer and reinstall into the new computer.

If you run into any troubles, you can always reach out to our Registration and Activation team.

Thank you for the prompt answers, I tried the Portable License Utility. I had no idea the LTU existed. Anyway, since I do not need autoCad at home anymore I will uninstall it from the home computer and reinstall at work. Have a great holiday season.
