Try a Repair from Add and Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
We moved your post to a new topic.
the procedure failed to correct the issue, the task manager shows the LTU working but then disapears and no window is displayed for the LTU, i had called autodesk support on the phone and they said something about completely uninstalling the whole thing, gosh do i really need to wipe it? suggestions...
My next recommendation would be to check the ADLM log in:
Windows 7 or Vista:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Adlm
Then reinstall following: http://support.autodesk.com/getdoc.asp?id=TS45252.
Autodesk would prefer that you transferred the license however you can reactivate on the new computer. Make sure you uninstall from the old computer.
