licens and configuration on mac osx client

Greetings,

I have many years and much success setting up Windows Clients to successfully obtain licenses from our server.  Sadly, I cannot see how do it with a autocad install on a mac (osx ver 10.9.5 ) .  The Licensing Error message is 'A valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager.  Error[0,0,0]'.  Any insight is greatly appreciated.

1.  Make sure that you have the latest NLM on the Windows server.  You will get a 0.0.0 error on Mac or Windows if  your NLM is not up to date.  Please do confirm steps 1-5 noted here:

If the server is running correctly, then any client should be able to connect.  If you just look at the error message, my guess is this...

2.  On the mac, you need to edit the licpath.lic file and use an IP address instead of the hostname.  The mac doesn't know the servername and typically can't resolve the name.  If your servername was Jupiter, on Windows, there is a DNS table that will route "Jupiter" to the right IP address.  On Mac, it doesn't know where "Jupiter" is.

3.  It can be done!  http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2011/11/mac-licensing-autocad-2012-for-mac-using-a-window...
