Keeping licences seperate

I currently have 1 license server hosting AutoCAD and ADT licenses for one department. I now have another department who want access to AutoCAD. Is there a way in which I can configure the license server so that both departments use the same license server but cannot access each others licenses?

You can do that by creating an options file. (.OPT) You find the details in
Chapter 5.

Right. The options file must be named adskflex.opt and must be placed in the same location as your license. Doing a license reread from LMTOOLS will activated the options file.

You will most likely need the GROUP, GROUPCASEINSENSITIVE, and INCLUDE options in your file.

You should look into the option files.

You can find more information at http://www.macrovision.com

Thanks for all your replies.
Just 1 more question! Is it possible to define the GROUP variable using an Active Directory group? It would be useful not to have to define each user individually when they are already a member of an AD group....is this possible?

Cheers,

It's not possible unless you make a program that does it for you.
