Inventor 2014 Download failure

I'm trying to install a trial of Inventor 2014, however the installer is stalling when trying to download. It just sits at 8 mb of 5.44 GB endlessly...

Darren beat me to it, but he is right.  I have seen these downloads take over 8 hours.

That's just how it is when you're downloading gigs of content libraries.

For an alternate download method, you can try Matt, the virtual assistant.

Patience, it'll go.

It sat at 8 mb of 5.93 GB for a half hour, never changing from 8 mb. My connection speed is 21 Mbps. I guess the installer progress bar coudl be lying to me...

bradowado,

Hello. Could be bandwidth and just take time, or it could be a bad connection or a program is blocking the transmission. Look at any programs that look at internet traffic and then turn them off.

If you are on a wireless, plug in.

Try to download the program form Matt- and just install as a trial.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to http://www.autodesk.com
  2. At the bottom of the page, beneath "Help and Support" click "Customer Service"
  3. Click the "Ask" button for the "Virtual Agent"
  4. Once the Virtual Agent opens, click "Downloading and Installation"
  5. Click "Software Download links"
  6. Click "I need to redownload my product"
  7. Select the appropriate product and download
