Maybe a corruption in the ProductInformation.pit file.  The workaround is to manually remove this file and then run the installation process again.

The ProductInformation.pit file can be found on the workstation in the following locations:

Windows XP:
C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\ADLM\ProductInformation.pit

Windows Vista:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ADLM\ProductInformation.pit

Ok, removed the file as requested and the installation has progressed a bit further, but not too far.

An error is not flashing up about needing to shut down Windows Explorer.

Any action after this kills the install.

I would suggest you remove all the Autodesk Products first, especially delete related folders and registers by this solution: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=2887771&linkID=9240697.

Then use your administrator user to login your machine, close all the others applications, including anti-virus and firewall, close UAC and try to reinstall from a clean system.

Hope helps.
