Installing 3dsmax SERVICE PACK via GPO?

Hi there,

We have 3dsmax 2015 installed on quite a few stations (Windows 7).

Service Pack 3 came out in December and I'd like to deploy it on our computers using the Group Policy.

Any suggestions as to how to achieve this? Is there an MSI for service packs? All i see is the exe and msp files HERE.

As far as i can tell, the exe does not support any switches so it cannot be ran as a part of a batch script.

Thanks,

Hello. GPO installs are not supported by our current installers. I am sure some GPO experts might be able to get this running. But GPO installs are not tested by our installers, SCCM is what we see now, mostly.

If there was an MSP available for a service pack it would be part of the pack, or could be extracted by it. If you look at the servcie pack README, there should be information on deploys, though not all installations can be broken apart and pushed.

You may need to trigger the exe directly on the client machine.
