Installation failure ACM 2014 on XP

On a Windows XP Professional (version 2002, SP3) machine, 32 bit, Intel Xeon E5520 @ 2.27GHz (etc)...

running Internet Explorer 8 (v.6.029)

AutoCAD Mechanical 2014 will not install because of the following:

"Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 Service Pack 1 or later was not

detected on this computer. This browser is required by the

product you are installing" - Learn More

The Learn More link brings me to a MS site that thanks me for running IE8, the latest browser version for XP.

Reseller said it was that we hadn't got XP SP3 iinstalled, but we do...

So now I got two XP machines keeping back the roll out of 2014 (because ACM 2014 dwgs disable 2013 there's a priority here.), installing a different OS is no option. (lease/license contracts and such).

Hhm, this should be quite easy. Remove the IE check or create required dummy reg keys to pass the test.

Does your problem already exist ? Then I can check and explain in detail. Which language version OS and ACM2014 ?

regards

Markus
