Installation error message "internal error 2711 materials"

Has anyone experienced the above noted error message?

 

If you have, is there a solution?

This is an error that generally occurs when you are trying to reinstall your software.  When are you getting this error and what software/OS?

I am using Civil 3D 2011 on Windows XP Professional.

 

Yes, it has occurred on a re-install.

The work around for this is to remove the product, which it may be necessary to use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility to remove it first.  Then you can reinstall fresh.
