I have a MACBOOK pro with Dualboot. I upgraded my RAM from 2GB to 4GB. MAC OSX sees the ram as 4GB. However, windows XP SP3 only sees it as 2.85GB.
I tried the /3GB switch and it shows up as 1.98GB of RAM.
My Hardware config is as follows:
Intel Core 2 DUO
T7700 @ 2.40GHz
4GB Ram (shows 2.85 under windows and 1.98 with /3GB switch)
40GB Free Space
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 512MB.
When I try t install Civil 3D, all the installation options are grayed out!. Please help.
Windows XP has a limitation where it cannot see 4GB of RAM. It will see no more than 3.2GB maximum minus the overhead of video and other reserved system memory. To see the full amount, you will need a 64-bit version of Windows.
Also, make sure your Civil meets the minimum requirements for your system and that you are running at least Internet Explorer 7.
