Dear Sir./Madam,
I've been trying to install the full version of the Auto CAD 2011 from the CD that was sent to me by mail, but installation can not complete. When i tried from the first time there came a message saying this file acadLP.msi was needed. I copied the CD to the hard drive, and tried to install again and everything seemed to be ok with the instalation about to be succeeded when suddenly UNISTALLING starts automatically. Then i tried to install online through the Autodesk webpage and the instalation reaches the end and then UNISTALLING starts again.
Pls give me an answer for this issue.
With many thanks, Nita
Ensure you have administrative privileges during installation.
If you can attach the install log file which is located in the TEMP folder of your machine it would be helpful in
troubleshooting.
at the end of the UNISTALLING process, a box appear saying that AutoCAD 2011 was not installed and for more information to refer to C:/Users/User/AppData/Local/Temp/AutoCAD2011Setup.log
The error code mentioned in the AutoCAD 2011 Setup.log is usually 1601 or 1603.
These error codes normally indicate insufficient user privileges during an install. Can you right click on the executable file and "Run as Administrator"?
You could refer to the link below which discussues the same error code.
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B834484&x=11&y=7#appliesto
Now AutoCAD 2011 is installed but DOES NOT START, a box appear with a message adui18res.dll NOT FOUND.
Please i need the software working. i have lots of work waiting.
The error you receive is a result of a bad installation.
Please refer to the discussion thread which mentions the same error:
I have the installation solved now.
Now that im working from home, but i usually do contract work in other people's office. i'd like to know how i tranfer my licence if i go to work in other people's office. this is because some customers have very old version of AutoCAD software.
