Impossible to install the CAD 2011 Trial

Greetings,

I downloaded the trial a few hours ago and when tried to install it, the setup gave me a lot of problems resulting in giving up to do so and ask the solution here. The thing is that the "Next" button is not displayed when the setup starts to load the UI during installations. I had to run 20 times the setup in order to see the next button after selecting the products to install, but after that, when the license agreement UI loads, the next button does not.

Which is the problem?

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium HP Envy 15 laptop, x64 family. I have not experienced this problem before with other programs except for all the Autodesk software.

It happened again with Maya, 3DS Max and Mudbox trials. I am unable to install them due to this "Next" button dissapeareance from the installation. Is it something wrong with my computer, operative system, or your setup?.

Thanks!

I eagerly wait for your answer!

Does anyone know why is this happening? Is any setting in Windows that I must change? It urges me to install it cause I need to end a personal project that I am working on right now. I had Autocad 2008 but now that i changed my computer and operative system, I am facing these strange problems with Autodesk setup wizard.

Thanks for your help,

I have seen a lot of different applications do odd things with the display of their user interface components on customized Windows display Themes. Try the Windows 7 Aero or Windows 7 Basic Themes from Windows 7 Personalization in the Control Panel or from Right-clicking the Desktop. Also when you are there click the Display link (lower left on the dialog that you set Windows Themes from) and make sure that DPI is set to 100%.

You might also reboot with Diagnostic Mode and install from the local hard drive or DVD drive.

Greetings,

I just want to let you know that your solution worked pretty well, but after installation i got the error message shown on the attachment.

Everything was ok during the installation, after it ended, I started again AutoCAD but them the setup started to run again and asked me again for the licensing, something that its kinda of weird cause before installation i checked the option to test the program for 30 days. It asked it again and when the program setup started to configure it ... i got the error.

What did i make? Is something wrong? It has something to do or to be with the adminstrator problems with the Windows 7?.

thanks for your help and time!

You have a corrupt .pit file. You will have to delete this file which will require a reinstall.

1. Uninstall AutoCAD

2. Delete:

          Windows 7 or Vista:  C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm

          Windows XP:  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Adlm

3. Reinstall AutoCAD

Hi,

I tried several times to install CAD 2011 Trial. I followed all the steps given before to solve the ".pit"problem, but without positive results. Here, i have attached the error that is always displayed during CAD configuration.

Does you have any other solution at hand?. I have the same problem with all autodesk 2011 products. Is it something related to my computer or windows 7 configuration?

Thanks again.
