Hello,
We want to transfer some network licences to newly acquired standalone licences on some clients computers without re-installing all the software.
On a previous version of Autocad Map 3D we only had to change the value of the following key in the register database in order to do it: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R19.0\ACAD-B002\AdLM\Type
But this tip doesn't work anymore on this version of Autocad map3D (2014).
We tried to change this key in the same way:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R19.1\ACAD-D002\AdLM\Type
But we had the following error when launching Autocad:
Le système de sécurité (gestionnaire de licence du verrouillage du progiciel) ne fonctionne pas ou n'a pas été installé correctement
I can translate this message for you:
The security system (software-lock licence management) doesn't work or has not been properly installed
Do you have another procedure to communicate to us?
Is there a way to achieve this without re-installing the software?
Is there any way to use the “LTU - Licence Transfert Utility” for that purpose?
In advance, thank you.
Best regards.

Registry hacks for changing license type that we have blogged on our Up and Ready blog, is usually used when one tries to go from Standalone to Network. These are so called "after market modifications" which we find that works most of the time, however, supported way of changing a license type is reinstalling the product. Thus if registry hack doesn't work for you, unfortunately you need to reinstall the product with the correct license type.
