How do I un-install software when I have a hard disk crash?

I can't access my hard drive to un-install Autocad.  Is there a way to be able to install it on my new computer?

Hi @pstobart Welcome to the Autodesk Community, good to have you here!

Although it is recommended to transfer your license from your old computer to your new one, it is not always necessary. Sometimes you can simply download onto your new computer and activate with out issue. If you'd like to export your license from your old computer here is a link that walks you through how to do that:

How to Transfer Stand-Alone Licenses Online

You can then download AutoCAD onto your new computer with a download link from our Virtual Agent. You can access versions 2010 or later here by clicking on Download Links > AutoCAD Products > AutoCAD :

Autodesk Virtual Agent

If you have any trouble activating on your new computer the best point of contact would be with our Activation and Registration Team. You can contact them via Chat by:

1. Visiting http://knowledge.autodesk.com/contactus
2. Select “Activation & Registration” or “License Management”
3. Select appropriate subtopics from the pull-down menus
4. Select “I Still Need Help” if you need personal assistance

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions let us know!!
