Home SN request

My company has been using Inventor since Version 5.3.  Our vendors at that time told us we were allowed to install a copy at work and at home, per SN.

What release did this request for home use SN that cuts off after 13 months stuff start?

Does the home SN give same functionality?  Will vault work over VPN from home with this home SN?

The HULA license is a fully licensed serial that simply expires after 13 months. Your program will behave as expected and Vault will indeed continue to work over VPN. The expiration simply protects your asset and prevents abuse. It can be renewed.

Yes, we are on a subscription.

I'm just wondering when this started?  I was not made aware of the need to request a special home SN until now, not by Autodesk or my Vendor.

Is this a reletively new requirment?

To the best of my knowledge the Home Use License benefit was rolled out in or around 2008, however there were a couple of different variations that existed a year or two prior.
