Hi we have design suite 2013 2 licences we cant run 3dmax, revit and autocad at the same time as we jump between both products easily.

It says licence error.

we should be able to do this shouldnt we? lic is on server etc etc installs all works but individually.

if my partner has revit and 3dmax open and i try and open max it says no licence.

Hi Simonn,

Thank you for using Autodesk Discussion forums.

If you have two seats Design suite 2013 network license, the following scenarios can be expected:

  1. Two computers, each running AutoCAD 2013 (or 3ds Max Design 2013), will consume two licenses. No licenses will be available for other users.
  2. One computer, running AutoCAD 2013 and 3ds Max Design 2012 simultaneously, will consume two licenses. No licenses will be available for other users.  You should be still able to open Revit 2013/2012 on that system.
  3. One computer, running  AutoCAD 2013 Revit 2013 and 3ds Max Design 2013 will consume only one license. One license will still be available for other users.

If the above mentioned scenarios are not observed in your setup, please let me know and I’ll open a support case and work with you on this issue.
