Group Policy Deployployment of 3DS Max Design 2015: Error: 1: 5 2:

I am trying to deploy 3DS max to workstations in my firm usng group policy deployments and I get the same error every time.

Error: 1: 5 2: adlmPITSetProductInformation failed. 3: 2

When I atempt to install the software manually it works just fine.  I have read about deleting the pit file from the following location on windows 7 workstation: c:\programdata\autodesk\adlm\ but that folder does not exist.  I have also read about uninstall any other autodesk applications from the workstation (which is not a viable plan for mass deployment of software) and i thought that was the problem until i built a workstation with windows 7 64 bit and C++ redistrubutables 2005-2012 on it  and I received the same error.  Does anyone have any thoughts?  I would say that it is something in my environment except for that fact that you can install it manually just not using GPO deplyments which for an organization of my size is extremely frustrating.

GPO is not supported for deploying software in 2015.   This is the only thing I can think of...

As David mentioned GPO installs aren't supported with the 2015 products, but you might also want to check out this previous post.
