“Generic trust failure.” error with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010

If you receive the following error when installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable:

 

Installation failed with error code: (0x800B010B), "Generic trust failure. " (Elapsed time: 0 00:00:08).
